Devlog-ish #1 - Illuminatic Screams

Posted by Nardalis - 2 days ago

Bit of notes today, I'm gonna kinda semi-devlog this. Leading two game projects, this is for Illuminatic Screams, a strategy survival emotional horror game. No images just yet because my team decided we'll hold off till there is a demo. Least you'll get is tiny teasers maybe XD though I love to share. (I will definitely share about the other main project later though!)

Anyway, I've been trying to get back to these projects for a while now since the summer heat absolutely drained me. It's still hot here in August but... bearable lol

So today was... one of the more productive ones. I finally finished sculpting our special AI creatures hands. I think they're good, I ain't quite sure yet. I let that be for now though, then I just have a bunch of tendrils to put together, and also shader textures for the many eyes this thing has... Sounds easy.. mostly. I know the eye shaders will drive me crazy though.

I have a team mate that's going to help me retopologize her so in the meantime that I'm trying to catch her, I've been making a new placeholder model of this one. I had one already but it was kind of bad. Since I take so long time on me to make my characters done, I figured I should start with more of the placeholders though now that I am kind of is getting back into it. Boost the progress a bit maybe. I hate that it all feels so far away, but if I get some of that done then maybe I can start getting to the big thing.

TL:DR; Finished sculpt of special AI creatures hands. Started new placeholder, needs hands and legs.
